I prefer the top load stack unit over a front load stack. This unit fits well into my small laundry closet yet it has a large capacity for loads. I like the water temperature and wash cycle options. Tap cold is great to prevent shrinking!

I bought this washer/dryer a week ago. Have used it about 4 times and it performs perfectly. Had an other brand of same type of washer and from the beginning had all kinds of problems, mainly unclean & soapy clothes (it was not the agitator type), and the dryer took too long to dry and really increased by natural gas bill. This dryer has dried in 1/3 of the time and clothes are very clean and soap free. Very happy I made the change to GE.

I like the larger capacity of both the washer and the dryer. the main drawbacks: it doesn't wring a heavy item at all- like a cotton bath rug. I took it out dripping wet, very heavy and hung it to dry for over two days before I could put it in the dryer to finish. Also, it makes clicking noises that are annoying - I have to have a door installed to cover the tight space to keep the noise down.
