Outside Sales Representative

Airport Home Appliance is the largest independent appliance retailer in Northern California and our showrooms are busier than ever. We've just started a Builder Division and need Outside Sales Representatives to build the business from the ground up. This sales position is focused on the builders, designers, cabinet shops, or any trade business that can drive clients to our stores. Your job is to know the programs and support the trade partners while our in-store sales staff takes care of their clients. Key Responsibility

  • Develop new business target list, strategy, and tactics for new account acquisition.
  • Engage trade partners in their place of business and relay the value of working with Airport Appliance.
  • Regularly identify and initiate contact with key buying influencers within target accounts.
  • Develop long-term business relationships.
  • Participate with trade associations for the purpose of networking, building business relationships, and promoting Airport Home Appliance.
  • Attend vendor trainings and complete certifications to sell professional products.
  • Stay up to date on local and industry trends, understands how to position Airport Appliance products and services in the market.
  • Produce quotes, close product sales, and drive referral business into the stores.
  • Sell kitchen packages directly to production builders and multi-family developers.
  • Work within Airport Home Appliance to ensure profitability of contracted projects.
  • Manage travel and other customer-related expenses.
  • Follow company policy and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to conduct meeting and presentations in-store, at trade partner’s place of business or on job sites.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with a track record of achieving results. · Intermediate computer skills: Office 365, Salesforce, internet navigation, and GPS.
  • Travel locally 80% of the week.
  • Previous outside sales experience and/or 3+ years in the appliance industry.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel locally 75% of the time.
