Was sort of forced to purchase this item since I was told it was the only range that would fit the space in which the home I had purchased had granite counter-tops. Then to top it off, I was told that it only came in black! Definitely not what I wanted since my entire kitchen is white and stainless steel! Yet, I needed a new range. Even though not happy with how it look's in my kitchen, it does what it is supposed do so far. I would recommend the product, but would not recommend the retailer!

This range replaces a GE range. First, I was unable to get black. This is slate black which looks more like a charcoal gray. It does not natch my GE dishwasher in color. The hot surface blight goes off too soon. The burners are still hot. The timer doesn't give you seconds - only minutes. So if you set to for 4 minutes, as I did for my eggs this AM, you can't see when you have 30 seconds left. My old timer didn't work like that. Why go backward in features?

I really like the placement of the knobs that control the stove eyes. I previously had a range that had knobs on the front of the stove and I would accidentally turn on the stove while reaching above the stove to put things in upper cabinets. I am very pleased with this range.
