I drink a lot of water and therefore its important to me to have great tasting water. Using this filter accomplishes that goal for me.

After much todo, trial and error I found that the only way to replace the water filter replacement is to clip off a tab on the head of the filter. Otherwise it prevents the filter from turning and locking into place.

I am very disappointed that the filter is set with a six month timer that forces me to replace it regardless of how much it was used. We are away from our house for most of the summer and use very little water during that period. Clearly we are required to replace an almost unused filter. My PUR filter at my sink requires replacement when if gets filled up and water wonÕt flow. These expensive GE filters should operate the same way
