clear No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I buy these to reduce rust in our city water system and to reduce chlorine taste. They used to filter to 2.5 microns. These now filter to 5.0 microns , allowing particles twice the size through. Guess what; most of the rust particles we have must be between 2.5 and 5 microns and now they come right through this filter. It is really useless to us now. These are quite a bity cheaper than the old ones, but so what if they do not do what we need any more.
