This microwave does not cook food. It has never worked right from the day we bought it. Our entire kitchen is stainless steel GE products and have wanted it that way. When our original GE microwave quit working we replaced it with this model and it quit working within 2 months of purchase. We sent in a complaint to GE last week and haven't heard anything back from GE, so they don't honor the 1 year warranty. If you like a useless product taking up space in your kitchen and a company that doesn't care then you should buy this miserable product.

I got this microwave to replace the 1990 model that came with the house I bought. It is a good over range microwave except it shuts down after 5 minutes of microwaving food due to overheating.
