clear No, I would not recommend this to a friend
We have owned this microwave for several months and can attest to the fact that it is not a perfect machine. It performs well overall but there are times that it fails to heat evenly leaving excessive hot and cold areas within the food. We are not new to microwave cooking and know how well a machine such as this can perform. In fact, we replaced an older model of this same machine with this model. The older one was superior. On last gripe....the door latch often does not release as it should when pushing the release button. This is a good machine but not a great machine,

I bought this couple of months ago, really happy with the oven it self but the trim kit was Super expensive, not happy with that. It is just a cheap plastic kit and probably costs 50 times less
