I bought the range hood a couple of months ago. I like how it is closed underneath. The lighting and fan is good also.

I really liked the idea that this Slate Hood would match our other appliances. Our first hood lasted 6 months. The 3, yes 3, replacements not even a day each. This product is not being manufactured correctly. There are so many issues between the lights and electrical problems to poor sheet metal work. I am throughly disappointed in GE.

At 70 years old, I just installed the hood, with no problems, to match our new gas stove. The LED lights are fantastic at lighting up the stove and side counter space, because they are located at the very outer front corners of the hood. The new Slate color offered, is a great option for appearance. At night I do wish the control selections that are not in use, were backlit to make it easier to make the next selection, with out overhead lights to be on to see them. A very quiet and stylish hood.
