The whole item is great except the medium and high fans are pretty noisy.They need silencers like the dishwashers have.

I bought this model specifically because it could be used with the GE Remote. I installed it up high enough to where you could see the bottom of the range hood, which was one of the features mentioned - looks great at every angle. Fan works great and the lights are nice and bright! The lights do get a bit warm after being on for awhile and they are not LED, which is a bit of a disappointment but I love it nonetheless.

I chose this hood for my new house with an outside vent. The lights are bright as I expected. However, the venting is disappointing. Although the house's outside vent flap opens when the hood is on - showing airflow to the outside- a considerable amount of air is blown back into the kitchen as well. The airflow through the hood's top vents adds considerable undesirable noise to its operation. Also, on the lowest setting there is a distinct undesirable hum.
