The instructions read it takes around 15 minutes to install. Might be true if everything already lined up from your previous and you've done it before. It takes a bit longer if it's your first time but easy enough to figure out. Got this to match the GE slate refrigerator and range, looks great, classy. The fan works so much better than the old one from 1980 that we replaced. Inexpensive, simple.

Easy to install. Matches the stove, and offers plenty of light for cooking on stove, easy to use controls on the face of hood and powerful air suction. I am so happy with both stove and hood.

It says you can install in 5 minutes.... that must be a best case scenario... replaced an older hood, took about 3 hours to install. Older house so I expected it would take more than 5 minutes.
